He frequently engaged with the Republic and Confederacy for profit, once capturing Count Dooku and later, Jedi Masters Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi, who he tried to ransom. Hondo's constant companion was his pet Kowakian monkey-lizard, named Pikk.
